Pinegrove school girl to join NDA
6/10/2023 11:09:38 PM
PALAMPUR, June 10: In a rare achievement, Ananya Kalia, who hails from Palampur and was Head Girl of Pinegrove School, Solan has made the school and all girls from HP proud by making the merit to join the NDA, as an Air Force cadet. She will be donning the NDA Crest on 22 June 2023. This is the 2nd batch of 19 Girls selected to join the NDA. It is a momentous occasion for Pinegrove as the 17 year old Ananya, who joined the Pinegrove in Class 1, in 2011 will be the first woman officer from the school to walk the hallowed corridors of the Sudan Block in NDA, which was opened to girls, last December. Her selection speaks volumes about the School's rigorous scholastic and co-scholastic curriculum as only 6 out of 19 girls are IAF Cadets, from all across India.
These girls have broken the male bastion by getting selected to be a part of the world's most coveted and iconic institution of global excellence in the sphere of millitary excellence. Samarth Sachdeva is another boy from Pinegrove School who has also made the merit list and received the call, to join the NDA alongwith Ananya.
Ananya will become a role model for generations of girls from the State of Himachal Pradesh and Pinegrove School by achieving this amazing feat with her sheer hard work, unflinching determination and unwavering perseverance under the able guidance of Pinegrove School's faculty.
