MADHYA PRADESH, Sept 13: In a groundbreaking visit to Madhya Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid the foundation stone for transformative projects, ushering in an era of industrial and economic growth. The highlight of his visit was the commencement of the Petrochemical Complex at Bina Refinery, a monumental step towards realizing 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat.' This cutting-edge refinery, with an investment of Rs. 49,000 crore, is poised to produce 1200 KTPA of ethylene and propylene, bolstering sectors like textiles, packaging, and pharma while reducing import dependence.
Additionally, the Prime Minister inaugurated the 'Power and Renewable Energy Manufacturing Zone' in Narmadapuram, two IT parks in Indore, and a Mega Industrial Park in Ratlam. These initiatives, along with six new industrial areas across the state, represent a significant boost to employment and regional development, aligning with the vision of balanced growth and uniform opportunities in Madhya Pradesh.
In Chhattisgarh, PM Modi dedicated critical rail sector projects worth approximately Rs. 6,350 crore to the nation, reinforcing the commitment to enhancing connectivity and socio-economic development. Key projects include the Chhattisgarh East Rail Project Phase-I, the 3rd rail line between Champa to Jamga, the 3rd rail line between Pendra Road to Anuppur, and the MGR system connecting Talaipalli Coal Mine to NTPC Lara Super Thermal Power Station. These projects promise to facilitate the movement of passengers and freight traffic, unlocking the region's potential.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for 50-bed 'Critical Care Blocks' in nine districts of Chhattisgarh, valued at over Rs. 210 crore. This initiative, under the Pradhan Mantri - Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM), aims to bolster healthcare infrastructure and services in the state.
Addressing health concerns arising from sickle cell disease, especially among tribal communities, PM Modi distributed one lakh sickle cell counseling cards as part of the National Sickle Cell Anaemia Elimination Mission (NSAEM), originally launched in July 2023. This proactive step seeks to improve healthcare outcomes and quality of life for affected individuals.
