Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 30: The involvement of teachers in terror activities raised alarm among higher-ups of the security agencies because after repeated intervals teachers were found involved in preaching terrorism.
Although some terror-friendly teachers have been sacked during the last two years, the direct involvement of many others were established in terror activities.
Within two months after arresting a government teacher for handling a cross-border terror module in Poonch district, security forces on Saturday busted another terror module in the Karnah area of Kupwara.
Five terrorists were arrested and a government teacher was heading this cross-border terror module. The arrested terrorists were involved in collecting arms smuggled from across the border by two Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) based terrorists.
Among the five terrorists arrested by the police, Khursheed Ahmad Rather son of the late Mohammad Yousuf Rather resident of Gabra, Karnah was a government teacher.
Earlier in November 2023, Police busted a terror module by arresting three terrorists including a government teacher in the Poonch district.
The terror module- supervised by the government teacher, was working on the directions of the terror mentors sitting across the Line of Control (LoC).
Although questioning of the arrested terrorists is going on, reports said that the module with the help of the government teacher was working to revive terrorism in the twin border districts of Poonch and Rajouri by luring gullible youth to terror ranks.
