Early Times Report

Srinagar, Feb 14: Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday paid tributes to the Central Reserve Police Force personnel killed in a terror attack in Pulwama on this day in 2019.
"Humble tributes to the bravehearts who sacrificed their lives in 2019 Pulwama terror attack. The nation will forever remain indebted to their exemplary courage, supreme sacrifice, and selfless service to the motherland," LG said in a post on X.
The Pulwama attack remains the deadliest terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir since the eruption of militancy in 1989.
On February 14, 2019 a local suicide bomber Adil Dar of Jaish-e-Mohammad rammed his explosive-laden car into CRPF bus at Lethpora Pulwama leaving 40 personnel of the force dead. The attack was followed by Balakote air strikes. A day later Pakistan retaliated and it triggered a brief dogfight. The Pulwama attack had brought India and Pakistan at the brink of war.
J&K Police chief R R Swain said the sacrifices of CRPF personnel will forever be etched in our hearts.
On behalf of Jammu and Kashmir Police Pariwar Director General of Police J&K paid heartfelt homage to the courageous souls who made the ultimate sacrifice in the 2019 Pulwama terror attack.
"The sacrifices of CRPF personnel will forever be etched in our hearts. As we remember these heroes, let's renew our commitment to securing peace, "DGP has said.
On Wednesday morning, BJP leaders paid floral tributes to CRPF men killed at Lethpora Pulwama. Several tourists also joined to pay tributes.
CRPF also held a wreath laying ceremony at Martyr's Memorial Lethpora, Pulwama . The Ceremony was attended by senior officers of CRPF & representatives of all security forces.
A blood Donation camp was also conducted after the wreath laying ceremony.
