Jammu, Feb 16: In a shocking incident, former Sarpanch Kamlesh Kumari narrowly escaped a knife attack at her residence in Arina, R S Pura on Friday.
The assailant, whose identity remains unknown, entered her home under the pretext of seeking water but turned violent, wielding the knife against Kumari.
Recalling the harrowing encounter, Kumari described how the attacker, upon requesting water, abruptly launched the assault with a knife. She bravely recounted the chilling threat issued by the assailant, warning her not to raise an alarm under the threat of further harm.
Fortunately, Kumari managed to evade further injury and raise an alarm, prompting the attacker to flee the scene. The motive behind the attack remains unclear.
Meanwhile, Police have taken the cognizance and are investigating the matter. SDPO R S Pura while talking to Early Times said, “We have started the investigations and hunt is on to trace the assailant.” |
