LPU's BSc Chemistry student qualifies IIT JAM Exam with top rank-AIR 10

JALANDHAR, Mar 26: One of the Bachelors of Science (Chemistry) students, Mohammad Kismat Rain, at Lovely Professional University (LPU) has excelled in the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) exam 2024. He is declared among the top ten, out of a total fourteen thousand plus students who appeared from across the country this year. The Cut off Marks in General Category was 25.38 and that for SC/ST 12.69; where, LPU student has got 79 out of 100 Marks
LPU student have made the university proud by securing an exceptional rank in the general category of IIT JAM examination. The result has been declared by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras. This JAM training was a personalized pilot programme for undergraduate students at the university.
LPU's Pro Chancellor Mrs Rashmi Mittal congratulated the meritorious student for his top achievement, and inspired him to keep on scaling the pinnacles of illustrious success. Mrs Mittal also advised other students to follow the achiever in ensuring hard & earnest work.
LPU's topper student shares that the IIT JAM curriculum learnt at LPU and working on previous question papers helped him in cracking the exam.
Every year thousands of candidates appear for the JAM exam. Out of them only a few hundred seats are made available through this entrance examination. The exam is a gateway to get into 20 Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) and Indian Institute of Science across the country. The IITs are premiere autonomous public technical and research universities.
