Stop behaving like ‘feudal lord’: Imran Ansari tells Omar Abdullah
‘Please don’t refer to religion, you neither have knowledge nor are you a practitioner’

Early Times Report

Srinagar, Mar 28: A day after National Conference vice-president Omar Abdullah claimed that A team and B team won’t be able to get the “certificate of Jannat,” Peoples Conference on Thursday hit back asking former J&K chief minister to stop behaving like a “feudal lord.”
J&K Peoples Conference senior General Secretary Imran Reza Ansari took to micro-blogging site X and wrote: “Stop behaving like a feudal. Stop convincing yourself that after the Maharaja it was your family’s turn”.
Ansari advised NC leader to refrain from commenting on religious matter. “And please don’t refer to religion. You neither have the knowledge nor are you a practitioner,” he added.
“During the Budgam rally Omar Abdullah said that these A team B team etc may get certificate of election but they will not get certificate of Jannat. I was taken aback by such comments. I normally try not to react, but since it concerns our religion, I felt compelled to intervene as a keen adherent and student of Islam.”
“May I tell Omar Abdullah that only the Almighty Allah will decide who goes to Jannat. That is the essence of our faith, of our religion. Let’s not mock religion. Omar Abdullah will not decide who will go to Jannat and who won’t,” he wrote.
“I have to caution him the era of astagfirullah- “ la-ila-ha il lalah sheikh Mohammed Abdullah” is over and so is the era of myths that sheilh Abduallh name was written on chinar leaves. That deception is simply not possible now,” Ansari added.
He further said, “And Mr. Omar Abdullah, look within. You are fortunate to have such generous political rivals. They refrain from questioning your religiosity. Elsewhere, questions would have been raised. Your audacity, when someone could question you on numerous matters, is surprising. If you ask me, your actions qualify for departure from Islam. We have never touched into your personal life”.
