All is well: Mian Altaf releases video | Says no backing out, will contest LS elections | | Early Times Report Srinagar, Apr 13: Amid rumours that Mian Altaf may not contest the Lok Sabha elections from Anantnag-Rajouri constituency, senior National Conference leader on Saturday released a video to dispel the speculations. In a video, Mian Altaf said that he had been unwell for a few days and doctors had advised him to take rest. Despite earlier reports suggesting he might not run due to health concerns, he said these claims are untrue and he is indeed planning to participate in the elections. Meanwhile, NC vice-president Omar Abdullah while talking to reporters in Srinagar said, "I do not believe in rumors. Let me talk to Mian Altaf Saheb first, then a decision will be taken." Earlier there were speculations that NC senior leader and five-time MLA Mian Altaf Ahmad may stay away from contesting Lok Sabha elections from Anantnag-Rajouri seat due to health issues. |
