Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw leads 10th International Yoga Day celebrations at Lodhi Garden, New Delhi

NEW DELHI, June 21: Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Ashwini Vaishnaw, spearheaded the celebrations of the 10th International Yoga Day at Lodhi Garden in New Delhi. The event, themed 'Yoga for Self and Society,' saw the Minister actively participating in yoga sessions and advocating for the adoption of yoga to enhance physical well-being, mental peace, and spiritual growth.
Minister Vaishnaw lauded Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for elevating the ancient Indian practice of yoga to an international platform. He emphasized that yoga enthusiasts worldwide are contributing significantly to global health and well-being. The celebration was graced by the presence of the Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, and other senior officials.
Simultaneously, Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Dr. L. Murugan, participated in a Yoga Day program at Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya in Periyanayakan Palayam, Tamil Nadu. Dr. Murugan was accompanied by Swami Karishthananda Maharaj, the Company Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya.
The Press Information Bureau also marked the occasion with a Yoga Day celebration at the National Media Center, led by Principal Director General Ms. Sheyphali Sharan. Senior officials and staff members joined in performing yoga to commemorate the day.
The widespread participation across various locations highlights the growing recognition of yoga's benefits in fostering a healthier and more harmonious society.
