Jammu, July 25: Jammu and Kashmir Police have uncovered forged gun licenses in Gadigarh area.
A police official said, “ Acting on a tip-off from a reliable source, a raid was conducted on the intervening night, leading to the discovery of 435 forged gun licenses and other incriminating documents at a newly under-construction building near Harward College.”
“The raid targeted the premises owned by the proprietor of multiple gun houses,” he added.
The accused was alleged to have hidden the forged licenses in his building. An FIR No. 177/2024 under sections 318(4), 339, 336, 340(2), and 61(2) BNS was registered at the Satwari Police Station, and a thorough investigation was initiated.

We are committed to ensuring the safety and security of our citizens, and this operation demonstrates our resolve to take stringent action against such illegal activities."
Further details on the progress of the investigation are awaited, as the police continue to scrutinize the recovered documents and track down individuals involved in the forgery.
