PM Modi to Flag Off Meerut City-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express today

NEW DELHI, Aug 30: Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is set to virtually flag off the highly anticipated 22490/22489 Meerut City-Lucknow-Meerut City Vande Bharat Express train on August 31, 2024. The introduction of this state-of-the-art, semi-high-speed train is expected to significantly improve connectivity between Meerut City and Lucknow, offering passengers a faster and more comfortable travel experience with modern amenities.
The regular service of the Vande Bharat Express will commence on September 1, 2024, from Lucknow and on September 2, 2024, from Meerut City. The train will operate six days a week, with Tuesdays being the only exception. The detailed schedule is as follows:

Meerut City Jn. (MTC): Departure at 06:35 AM
Moradabad Jn. (MB): Arrival at 08:35 AM, Departure at 08:40 AM
Bareilly Jn. (BE): Arrival at 09:56 AM, Departure at 09:58 AM
Lucknow (LKO): Arrival at 01:45 PM
22489 Lucknow-Meerut City Vande Bharat Express (Effective from September 1, 2024)
Lucknow (LKO): Departure at 02:45 PM
Bareilly Jn. (BE): Arrival at 06:02 PM, Departure at 06:04 PM
Moradabad Jn. (MB): Arrival at 07:32 PM, Departure at 07:37 PM
Meerut City Jn. (MTC): Arrival at 10:00 PM
The inaugural run of the 02490 Meerut City-Lucknow Vande Bharat Special Express will take place on August 31, 2024, with the following schedule:
Meerut City Jn. (MTC): Departure at 12:30 PM
Moradabad Jn. (MB): Arrival at 02:30 PM, Departure at 02:35 PM
Bareilly Jn. (BE): Arrival at 03:51 PM, Departure at 03:55 PM
Lucknow (LKO): Arrival at 07:40 PM
The Vande Bharat Express will comprise eight air-conditioned Chair Car coaches, designed to provide passengers with a comfortable and speedy journey.
The introduction of the Meerut City-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express marks a significant enhancement in regional connectivity. This new service will reduce travel time between Meerut City and Lucknow, making it easier for passengers to commute between these cities within a day. The train's route via Moradabad and Bareilly also opens up new opportunities for tourism, economic growth, and regional connectivity.
