LPU fashion students showcased their designs

JALANDHAR, Sept 13: Lovely Professional University's School of Fashion Design made waves in the Indian fashion industry. Students recently took the stage at the prestigious Eclat Eleve 2024, Chandigarh Times edition fashion week, sharing the runway with top designers from across the country. LPU's 32 designers rocked the stage at the iconic event with 35 spellbinding collections. From avant-garde designs to timeless classics, the students' work impressed audiences with its unique vision and impeccable craftsmanship. Drawing inspiration from traditional and contemporary influences, they have created a collection that is visually captivating and tells a story of their journey and vision.
LPU students' collections explored a wide range of themes, from the influence of Indian textiles to Indian prints and motifs. One standout garment featured the use of circuits in a panel of an Indian skirt.
Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU's praised the students for their remarkable journey and emphasised the importance of such platforms in providing our students with exposure to the fashion industry. This event was a celebration of life, expressed through a stunning array of colours and designs that were both bold and sophisticated. He said each garment in the collection was a testament to the students' meticulous attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.
The gala event attracted a star-studded crowd, including elite personalities from the fashion world and thousands of fashion enthusiasts. Chandigarh Times Fashion Week served as a melting pot of creativity, providing a platform for designers to showcase their latest creations and envision the future of fashion. From intricate embroidery to innovative silhouettes, every piece reflects the artistry and skill of LPU students.
LPU's commitment to nurturing talent extends beyond the runway. The university offers on-campus placements in collaboration with renowned national and international fashion companies & designers, empowering students to explore global opportunities and refine their skills.
