Jammu, Oct 24: Special Judge CBI Bala Jyoti today sent Mohammad Ayaz Bhatt, Patwari of Halqa Chhan Khatrian to 12 day judicial remand.
Bhatt was caught red-handed by the CBI while accepting bribe money of Rs 10,000/.
Today accused Mohammad Ayaz Bhat, Patwari, Patwari Halqa, Chhan Khatrian, Tehsil Hira Nagar has been produced in proper custody from CBI, ACB Jammu by Investigating Officer Lalit Kumar, Dy. Superintendent of Police CBI ACB, Jammu who has prayed for judicial remand of accused for a period of 14 days as investigation is still incomplete.

“Investigation of the case is at its infancy, statements of material witnesses are yet to be recorded by the IO besides the accused is involved in a serious offence, he is remanded to judicial custody for a period of 12 days only as prayed for.”
RC0042024A0009 dated 23.10.2024 for offence under section 7 of P.C. Act 1988 (as amended in 2018). As per the Medical certificate issued by Dr. Arfa Bano Medical Officer Police Hospital Jammu accused person is medically examined and found fit. Moreover accused person has not complained about any physical dis-comfort or any mental illness. He is apprised of grounds of arrest by 1.0 as revealed in case diaries that accused was arrested on 23.10.2024, case diaries transpires that investigation of the case is at its infancy, statements of material witnesses are yet to be recorded by 1.0 besides accused is involved in a serious offence, he is remanded to judicial custody for a period of 12 days only as prayed for.
