BIS JKBO shines at National Agricultural Summit

Jammu, Nov 23: The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Jammu and Kashmir Branch Office (JKBO) made a remarkable impact at the 3-day National Agricultural Summit 2024, held at SKUAST Chatha here.
The BIS showcased its commitment to quality and standardization through four informative stalls, drawing significant attention from students, academicians, farmers, and the general public.
A key highlight of the event was the active participation of over 450 students from 14 Standards Clubs across Jammu, Samba, Kathua, and Kishtwar districts, established by BIS-JKBO.
These students took part in interactive exhibits, educating attendees on the critical role of quality and standardization in agriculture and related sectors.
The summit concluded with BIS receiving the prestigious Prashansha Award in recognition of its exemplary efforts in promoting standards and raising awareness about quality.
The award ceremony, held at the SKUAST Conference Hall, was attended by prominent dignitaries, including Ghulam Ali Khatana, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Prof B. N. Tripathi, Vice Chancellor of SKUAST Jammu, and Narinder Singh Raina, MLA North Jammu.
Ashish Kumar Dwivedi, Standard Promotion Officer at BIS-JKBO, received the award on behalf of the organization, marking a proud moment for BIS in its ongoing mission to foster a culture of quality and standardization.
BIS remains committed to promoting quality standards across various sectors, furthering its vision of a better future through robust standardization.
