1/13/2025 10:22:29 PM
Early Times Report

JAMMU, Jan 13: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued the “Procedure for Investigation to be Followed by Officer in Charge of Police Station Rules, 2025,” under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.
These rules emphasize the maintenance of a Daily Diary Report to document offenses and cases where investigations are deemed unnecessary.
These reports will be recorded in the Crime and Criminal Tracking Networks and Systems (CCTNS) and forwarded to the Magistrate fortnightly.
Furthermore, the rules mandate that officers must promptly inform complainants about the reasons for not initiating investigations, using electronic or physical communication.
