JUIT Scholars secure prestigious research roles in UK, USA

WAKNAGHAT, Jan 15: Scholars from Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Solan, have achieved remarkable milestones by securing esteemed research positions abroad.
Dr. Anil Sharma, a native of Hamirpur and a Ph.D. graduate from JUIT's Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, has joined the University of Nottingham, UK, as a Postdoctoral Fellow. His research, funded by the EPSRC, focuses on bioleaching critical metals from urban waste streams.
Dr. Monika Choudhary, hailing from Kangra, also a Ph.D. graduate from the same department, has joined the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York, as a Postdoctoral Fellow. Her work aligns with pioneering advancements in medical and healthcare research.
Both scholars credited JUIT for their academic foundation and guidance, expressing their gratitude to Prof. Sudhir Syal, Head of the Department. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajendra Kumar Sharma and JUIT faculty congratulated the scholars and extended best wishes for their future endeavors.
