JAMMU, Jan 15: The Ministry of Home Affairs has approved the promotion of 2006 batch erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir cadre (currently AGMUT Cadre) IPS officer Amit Kumar, currently DIG of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), to the rank of Inspector General (IG) NIA.
As per an order dated January 14, 2025, Kumar will assume charge as IG, with his tenure governed by the IPS Tenure Policy.
The NIA has been directed to inform the Ministry about the date of his assumption of charge. |
