Jan welcomes development initiatives announced for Poonch

Jammu, Mar 17: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Poonch, Aijaz Jan, on Monday welcomed the development initiatives announced for the region.
Jan said that the government is committed to addressing the pressing needs of the people and ensuring holistic development in the region. “We are dedicated to improving infrastructure, enhancing public services, and creating new opportunities for our people. These initiatives mark a step forward in that direction,” he stated.
“The efforts undertaken reflect a strong commitment to progress and development, ensuring that every citizen of Poonch benefits from improved facilities and services,” he added.
Meanwhile, in today’s session of the Legislative Assembly, significant developmental initiatives were announced for the Poonch region, focusing on infrastructure, transportation, and public welfare.
These steps are aimed at improving the quality of life for residents, especially in border and remote areas.
The initiatives include New Ration Depots for Poonch Haveli Constituency, with special provisions for border areas to ensure food security.
New SRTC Bus Service covering Mandi, Poonch, Nangli Saibaba Block, Loran, Sathra, Sawijan, Arai, Gali Pindi, Fathpur, and Arai, improving connectivity for residents.
Ration Distribution for APL, BPL, and AAY categories, ensuring essential supplies reach every household.
New Stadiums for Mandi & Poonch, promoting sports and youth development.
Installation of Solar Lights in snow-bound areas of Poonch & Mandi, enhancing safety and sustainability.
