| Encounter breaks out in Kathua | | SFs launch search operation in Poonch | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Mar 23: An encounter broke out between the security forces and terrorists at Sanyal, Hiranagar in Jammu's Kathua district on Sunday. Sources said that on a tip off about the presence of terrorists at Sanyal, joint team of the security forces launched a search operation this afternoon. "As soon as the search party reached near the suspected spot hiding terrorists opened fire, which was retaliated triggering a gunfight. A group of Jaish terrorists is believed to be trapped," sources said. The encounter was on when this report was filed.
Meanwhile, security forces launched a joint search operation after some ‘suspicious movement’ was noticed in the general area of Sangla in Surankot, in Poonch district.
The joint operation was launched by the Indian Army’s Romeo Forces along with the Poonch Police, according to the officials. |
