NHPC observes 134th birth anniversary of Babasaheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar

NEW DELHI, Apr 15: NHPC, a Govt. of India Navratna Enterprise Company organized a special programme to commemorate the 134th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar on 15th April, 2025 at its Corporate Office, Faridabad. The programme began with the paying of floral tributes to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar by R.K. Chaudhary, CMD, NHPC, along with R.P. Goyal, Director (Finance), NHPC, Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), NHPC, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects & Technical), NHPC and executive members of the NHPC SC/ST Employees Welfare Association and NHPC OBC Employees Welfare Association. In his address, R.K. Chaudhary, CMD, NHPC, highlighted the principles and contributions of Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. He defined Dr. Ambedkar as an outstanding world leader and champion of the masses and women empowerment. R.P. Goyal, Director (Finance), NHPC, underscored the vital need to embrace the ideals of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, stating that in order to weave a more inclusive social fabric, his visionary principles are more relevant. Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), NHPC said that Dr. Ambedkar was believed in upliftment of the needy and NHPC's CSR policy reflect his vision. In his address, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects & Technical), NHPC hailed Dr. Ambedkar as the architect of Indian constitution and true model for democracy. A short film showcasing the life and achievements of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was also screened on the occasion.
