Jammu, Oct 4: In a proud moment for Jammu’s music fraternity, Dr. Anu Bedi, a gifted student of Taansen Sangeet Vidyalaya, Jammu, has brought laurels to the city by winning the ‘Voice of Doctors’, a prestigious global event celebrating artistic excellence among medical professionals. Recognized for her mesmerizing melody and soulful renditions, Dr. Bedi was declared the ‘Most Melodious Voice’, a title that celebrates not only her talent but also the city’s growing reputation in the field of performing arts. To continue this momentum and encourage more hidden talents from across the region, Taansen Sangeet Vidyalaya has announced the launch of ‘Udne Do Season 3’, a musical talent hunt aimed at discovering singers from diverse age groups. The event aspires to provide an inclusive and motivating stage for local talent, giving them an opportunity to perform, compete, and grow under expert mentorship. The event witnessed the presence of Chief Guest Ajaz Qaiser, Joint Director, Tourism Department, who congratulated Dr. Anu Bedi for her global recognition and appreciated Taansen Sangeet Vidyalaya’s efforts in nurturing local talent. In his address, Qaiser shared insights into the Tourism Department’s earlier collaborations and upcoming cultural initiatives with Taansen, highlighting how such partnerships promote Jammu as a cultural and musical hub. He assured full support to initiatives that blend art, tourism, and youth engagement. Also present on the occasion were Ramesh Chib, Director of Bhartiya Kala Sangam, who lauded the academy’s consistent efforts to promote classical and contemporary art forms in Jammu, and Sonia R. Sharma, Director of Taansen Sangeet Vidyalaya, who reiterated the institution’s commitment to organizing more such creative platforms.
