Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 4: The International Daily Rising School proudly hosted the Inter-School Kavita Gayan Pratiyogita under the prestigious banner of the Jammu Sahodaya Schools Complex, celebrating the rich cultural heritage of India through the power of poetry. The competition was held on the theme "Veer Ras", aiming to ignite patriotic fervor and valor among the young learners. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 30 renowned CBSE schools across Jammu Region with talented students showcasing their poetic brilliance and stirring recitals dedicated to the heroes of the nation. The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of Lieutenant Colonel Daya Singh as the Chief Guest, whose inspiring words encouraged the students to imbibe courage, discipline, and dedication in their lives. In his inspiring address, he emphasized the importance of courage, discipline, and perseverance in life, drawing parallels between the valor depicted in poetry and real-life heroes. He motivated the students to embrace challenges fearlessly and to channel their creativity and passion in meaningful ways for the betterment of society and nation. The competition was adjudicated by an eminent panel of judges: * Dr. Bhagwati Devi, Assistant Professor, University of Jammu * Dr. Vandana Sharma, Senior Assistant Professor, Central University of Jammu Their insightful evaluation and appreciation added immense value to the event. The school management extended a warm welcome to all dignitaries and participants. Chairperson, Ms. Supinder Kaur, along with Managing Director, Mr. Raghav Gupta, and Director Academics cum Principal, Dr. Atul Hans, expressed their pride in hosting the event. They emphasized the significance of such competitions in nurturing literary talents, building confidence, and strengthening the spirit of nationalism among the youth. The winners of the day were recognized for their outstanding performances. Five participants from Jammu Sanskriti School, DBN Amarvilla, Heritage School, APS Jammu Cantt, Rich Harvest School & Kartar Public School, were awarded for the most vibrant performances, while four students from International Daily Rising School, Doon International School, Vishwa Bharti Hr. Sec. School and APS Damana, received consolation prizes for their remarkable efforts. Additionally, three position holders were felicitated for securing the top spots in the competition, reflecting the high standards of talent and dedication displayed by all participants. Third position goes to APS BD Bari, second position to Stephens International Public School and the first position was secured by APS Kaluchak. |
