Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 4: On the directions of the Worthy Excise Commissioner, Sh. Subash Chander Chhibber (JKAS) and under the supervision of Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu Sh. Sanjay Bhat(JKAS) and ETO, City Excise Range South, Ms. Rupali Vaid(JKAS) and with cooperation of Principal and management of the Dogra Higher secondary School, Shastri Nagar, Jammu the Jammu & Kashmir Excise Department, City Excise Range South, Jammu organised two events Painting Competition and Slogan Writing Competition under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan. Many students participated in the Painting Competition and Slogan writing Competition with the theme of Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan (Say no to Drugs, Yes to Sports). In the Painting Competition Mr. Yashkirat Singh, Ms. Arshita Sehgal and Ms. Shriya were adjudged as 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively and in the Slogan Writing Competition Ms. Ridham, Ms. Kritima Gupta and Ms. Drishika Slogans were adjudged as 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. The awardees were felicitated with certificate and Trophies by the department along with certificate of participation to all the participants. Further, students took an oath to stay away from drugs and prevent their peers from falling victim to drugs. During the event, Principal, staff members and students of Dogra Higher secondary School, Shastri Nagar, Jammu and Inspectors of Excise department Sh. Arun Kumar, Sh. Ashwani Kumar and Sh. Naeem Choudhary and other excise officials of City Excise Range South, Jammu were also present for the encouragement and motivation of the students. Refreshments were also distributed among the participants. The gathering appreciated the efforts of Excise Department in generating awareness among the students regarding ill effects of the drugs abuse and to motivate them to participate in different sports activities which will be organised by the department for their better future. |
