Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 12: In a major breakthrough, Jammu (Rural) Police have arrested an absconder who had been evading arrest for the past 27 years. The accused has been identified as Naveen Kousha, son of Narender Pal, resident of Ropar, Punjab. He was wanted in connection with a case registered under FIR No. 42/1999 under Sections 304-A, 279, and 337 RPC at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli. A warrant under Section 512 Cr.P.C. had been issued against him by the Hon'ble Court of Munsiff JMIC Jammu, after he absconded in 1999. During this period, the accused had settled abroad and become a permanent citizen of the United Kingdom. After sustained efforts and coordinated action by the Police team of Jhajjar Kotli, led by Inspector Vikas Dogra (SHO), with the support of various agencies, the accused was successfully apprehended and deported from the UK to India. This arrest marks a significant achievement for Jammu (Rural) Police in their ongoing drive against absconders and proclaimed offenders, reaffirming their commitment to ensuring justice and upholding the rule of law. |
