| MLA Arvind Gupta inaugurates Bakshi Nagar Gate, Ring Road at GMC Jammu | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 29: MLA Jammu West Arvind Gupta today inaugurated the newly constructed Chopra Nursing Home Gate and Ring Road at Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu, a vital infrastructure project completed at a cost of Rs 2.43 crore. The project has been formally opened for ambulance movement during medical emergencies, marking a crucial advancement in improving accessibility to Government Medical College Jammu. With dedicated access now available, critical patients will be able to reach emergency services faster, reducing delays caused by heavy congestion in the densely populated Bakshi Nagar area. This development is expected to significantly ease traffic flow, streamline medical response times, and enhance overall connectivity for both hospital authorities and the public. Speaking at the inauguration, Arvind Gupta said, "Our commitment is to strengthen infrastructure and ensure smoother connectivity for the people of Jammu. Projects like this directly benefit patients, attendants, and daily commuters, and we will continue working to upgrade civic and healthcare facilities across the constituency." He emphasized that enhanced road connectivity around GMC Jammu will reduce congestion and facilitate faster medical access. Prominent dignitaries present on the occasion, including the Principal & Dean GMC Jammu, Dr Ashutosh Gupta, Medical Superintendents of all four hospitals of Jammu, Heads of Departments, and senior faculty members. Their presence highlighted the importance of the project in supporting the functioning of the medical institutions. The construction was carried out by the Public Works Department, and PWD XEn Sandeep Mahajan along with his team received appreciation for timely execution and quality work. Arvind Gupta lauded the PWD for efficiently completing a project that had been long awaited by residents and hospital authorities. The event also attended by BJP leaders, including Mandal Presidents Kushyant Prajapati and Anil Angral, senior leader Atul Bakshi, and party members Rohit Sharma, Sonu Manhas, Mohit Vaid, Geeta Sodhi, Rekha Sharma, and Indreesh Gupta. The inauguration concluded with MLA Arvind Gupta reaffirming his resolve to bring more development-oriented projects to Jammu West.
