Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 29: Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Bahu Fort Jammu observed Mahaparinivan divas of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule in the premises of Gurudwara Shri Guru Ravi Dass ji Maharaj Bahu Fort Jammu. While speaking on this occasion Sham Lal basson general secretary and ex-corporator expressed relentless fight of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule for social justice and pioneering girl's school with his wife Savitri Bai Phule shaped path for social equality. His legacy continued to illuminate our society. Witnessing social injustices he experienced and witnessed the harsh realities of caste system and its impact on marginalized communities in India. Mahatma Jyotirao Phule was influenced by thinker like Thomas Paine whose on equality and human rights resonated with him. Savitri bai Phule played a crucial role in his work particularly promoting women education. Jyotirao Phule and his wife Savitri Bai Phule left an indelible mark on modern India particularly in the realm of social justice and education. Their pioneer work continues to impose reform moments and policy making. Phule couple opened 18 schools from 1848 to 1852.
