Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Dec 2: Udhampur Police has so far achieved a major milestone in its fight against narcotics by securing 64 convictions in 51 NDPS cases during the year 2025. This includes 29 inter-state and 15 inter-district drug peddlers. Cases involved recovery of poppy straw, charas, heroin and cannabis registered across Police Stations Udhampur, Rehambal, Chenani, Ramnagar, Majalta. Recoveries were made through naka checks, highway interceptions, and sustained anti-narcotics drives. Each case was professionally investigated, chargesheeted on time, and pursued in the Hon'ble Courts, resulting in consistent convictions-highlighting the coordinated efforts of Investigating Officers and Prosecution teams under the NDPS Act. Udhampur Police urges the public to remain vigilant, report drug-related activities and support the fight against addiction.
