Early Times Report BARI BRAHAMANA, Dec 2: The NSS Unit of Dogra Degree College organized a Slogan Writing and Poster Making Competition to mark World AIDS Awareness Day, observed annually on December 1st. The event was themed "Stop the Stigma - Spread Awareness, Not the Virus," reflecting the global call to foster compassion, eliminate discrimination, and encourage open dialogue surrounding HIV/AIDS. Students from B.A, BBA, and B.Com 1st and 3rd Semesters participated with great enthusiasm, presenting thought-provoking slogans and visually compelling posters that emphasized awareness, empathy, and responsible public health behaviour. Their creative expressions advocated for breaking misconceptions and embracing an inclusive approach to understanding HIV and AIDS. The entries were reviewed by an internal evaluation committee, and after thorough consideration, First Prize was won by Sohani Angral, B.Com 1st Semester, Second Prize was won by Anjali Goud and Shagun Bhagat, BA 3rd Semester, and Third Prize went to Gitanjali Phounsa, BA 1st Semester. All the winners were awarded for their commendable effort, while all enthusiastic participants received NSS participation certificates as a mark of appreciation. The event successfully fulfilled its purpose of fostering awareness and sensitivity among youth. Through such initiatives, Dogra Degree College continues to strengthen its commitment toward social responsibility and holistic student engagement, ensuring that educational spaces contribute meaningfully to shaping informed and responsible citizens. |
