Jammu, Jan 17: One of the employees of a private company hired by HDFC bank for putting cash to the ATMs of the bank has been booked for embezzling cash which he was given to depositing in the ATMS kiosks.
Police sources said that Jatinderpal Singh of Sainik Colony who is ATM In-charge today lodged a written complaint to Janipur police that one of the employee of private service provider, identified as Vinod Kumar of Janipur Colony, which was hired by HDFC bank embezzled cash amounting 16 Lakh in Janpur area.
The complainant further complaint that the accused also embezzled cash from other ATM kiosks at Sarwal, AKhnoor, Marh etc and the total amount which was embezzled by Vinod is around 69 lakhs.
Police said that a case under FIR no 12/ 16under sections 380 and 409 of RPC against Vinod Kumar of Janipur Colony and started investigation however no arrest was made when last reports came in while role of other employees of service provider or bank is not ruled out yet.
