Political parties real killers of democratic institutions: AAP
10/18/2018 10:15:08 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 18: JK AAP said that don't get misled by these traditional political Parties they are not savior of democratic Institutions or Art.370 or 35-A but are the real killers of these Institutions.
In a press statement issued here, a meeting was called with activists under the chairmanship of National Council and Founder Member Deep Singh. They expressed wonder as to how things are set right under Governors rule and how mess was created when reigns of state government come into the hands of so called elected rulers.
AAP criticized the press statement of BJP demanding from the Governor the implementation of 73rd and 74th amendments of Indian Constitution in the state is an eye wash and are once again befooling the common masses of the state. They appealed people not to get misled by these traditional parties, they are not savior of democratic Institutions but are the real killers of these Institutions.
They thanked former Governor for rescinding the most unpopular amendment in Panchayati Raj Act banning direct election to the institution of Sarpanch thereby opening Pandora box for corruption through horse trading, the release highly condemned the anti-democratic attitude of successive state governments in the past and most recently the BJP and PDP government who tried to weaken the basic democratic institution-the Panchayats, ULBs to meet their selfish political ends as the MLAs/MLCs and ministers are real enemies to Panchayati Raj Institutions.
AAP activists appealed the Governor to create history by constituting the first ever Block Development Councils (Block Samities) and District Planning and Development Boards ( Zilla Parishads) in the state like other parts of the country & let it be a slap on the face of so called public representatives. They further strongly criticized various Political Parties for appealing their cadres to gear up to Panchayati polls, saying that these elections are always held on 'Non-Party basis' then why they are polluting the atmosphere in the state already passing through most difficult phase of turmoil in its history because of abuse of their political positions.
Prominent among those who participated the meetings were Kuldeep Kumar Rao, Parvinder Singh, Sandeep Singh Shan, CL Sharma, Mehar Singh and Amit Langer.
