Call for Jammu Bandh gets support from various organizations

JAMMU, Feb 14: Various political, social and student organizations have extended their active support to proposed Jammu Bandh on Feb 15, a call for which has been given by Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) to lodge a protest against the brutal killing of CRPF jawans in Kashmir.
President JCCI and its office bearers, presidents of different affiliated associations including Matador operator Association announced a peaceful Jammu Bandh while addressing a press conference here today. He also asked the state administration to immediately take action against those responsible for shouting anti-India slogans in Jammu.
The Chamber President said that we shall not allow anyone to spoil the peaceful atmosphere and brotherhood in Jammu as people from all religions feel safe in Jammu. He further appealed to all the people to observe peaceful bandh and prayed for peace to the departed souls of CRPF jawans martyred in Kashmir. He also appealed to the Prime Minister to wake up to the factual security situation on the ground and act accordingly.
Traders Federation Ware House-Nehru Market(Regd.) Jammu, today in an emergent meeting under the Presidentship of Sh. Rattan Lal Gupta., decided to support the Jammu Bandh on 15th February in protest against the dastardly act of frustrated terrorists in Pulwama, Kashmir which resulted in atleast 39 casualties amongst our brave CRPF Jawans, as per information available and many were injured very seriously.
Bandh support is as a mark of respect to the departed souls and for expressing solidarity and sympathy with the bereaved families.
Deepak Gupta, General Secretary expressed heartfelt sympathies and grief at shocking incident and demanded that Govt. must take this very seriously and do utmost to avoid such incidents in future. He expressed condolence to the families of Soldiers losing their lives in the attack.
Strongly condemning the cowardly attack on CRPF Jawans by the Pak sponsored militants in Pulwama, the JKNPP has called for Jammu bandh on Friday 15th February, 2019.
Describing the dastardly act as the most heinous offence perpetrated against humanity, Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP and Former Minister has called upon the United Nations and the International community to initiate stern action against Pakistan and declare it as a terrorist nation.
Singh appealed to all sections of society including social and political organizations, intellectuals, traders, students and the civil society to support the bandh as to send a clear message across the globe as to how Pakistan is acting as terror exporting nation and has become the biggest threat to world peace.
National Conference on Thursday supported the Jammu Bandh Call for tomorrow to express anguish over the martyrdom of the CRPF personnel in dastardly and most barbaric terror act in Letpora in Kashmir, said Provincial President Devender Singh Rana .
Vishwa Hindu Parishad Jammu & Kashmir strongly condemns the terrorist attack on CRPF convoy in Kashmir and expresses shock over this gruesome incident. Senior office bearers of VHP J&K including Leela Karan Sharma, Rajesh Gupta, Abhishek Gupta, Shakti Dutt Sharma, Naveen Sudan, Kapil Karan and others met just now in an emergency meeting and paid tributes to the jawans who attained martyrdom in this cowardice act of Pak sponsored terrorists and announced for Jammu Bandh tomorrow to protest against the incident and to express solidarity with security forces. Bajrang Dal will hold protest demonstrations all over the State tomorrow against the terrorist violence.
VHP J&K will hold a Shardhanjali Sabha at its Head Office Shakti Ashram, Rehari, Jammu for martyred CRPF personnels.
