Operation Sindoor: Pak will forever recall night of shame, says PM | ‘Pahalgam attack assault on humanity, soul of Kashmir’ | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 6: As India marked one month since the launch of Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday asserted that terror masterminds and their backers never anticipated India's decisive strike deep inside Pakistan to dismantle terror infrastructure. Addressing a rally in Katra, following the inauguration of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla rail link, the Prime Minister recalled the successful operation. "Today is June 6. Coincidentally, exactly a month ago, Pakistan's terrorists met their fate on this very night. Whenever Pakistan hears the name Operation Sindoor, it will remember its shameful and humiliating defeat,” Modi declared. The Prime Minister emphasized that neither Pakistan’s Army nor its terror outfits ever imagined India would penetrate deep into their territory to deliver a devastating blow. "The terror hubs they built over years were reduced to rubble within minutes," he asserted. Recalling the April 22 terror attack at Baisaran Valley in South Kashmir’s Pahalgam, Modi described it as an assault on Insaniyat (humanity) and Kashmiriyat (the spirit of Kashmir), orchestrated to provoke communal unrest in India. "The Pahalgam attack was not just an assault on innocent tourists—it was an attack on humanity and the soul of Kashmir. Pakistan sought to incite riots and disrupt the livelihoods of Kashmir’s hardworking people," he said. Despite Pakistan's alleged provocations, Modi praised the resilience of the people of J&K, asserting that their strength has sent a clear message—not just to Pakistan, but to the global terror network. “The youth of J&K are determined to respond to terrori Whenever Pakistan hears the name Operation Sindoor, it will remember its shameful and humiliating defeat. Neither Pakistan’s Army nor its terror outfits ever imagined India would penetrate deep into their territory to deliver a devastating blow. The terror hubs they built over years were reduced to rubble within minutes. m. This same terrorism once burned schools, destroyed hospitals, and devastated generations in the Valley," he stated. He underscored the government’s efforts to create employment opportunities, particularly through tourism, and accused Pakistan of actively working against the industry. "Our neighboring country is not just against humanity—it is against tourism, deliberately sabotaging the livelihoods of the poor," Modi remarked. Asserting the government’s commitment to accelerating development projects, Modi vowed that nothing would stand in the way of J&K’s progress. "The people of J&K have delivered a strong message to Pakistan and terrorists. The youth here have resolved to give a befitting reply to such forces,” he said. Expressing satisfaction over completing long-pending infrastructure projects, Modi noted that lakhs of people’s dreams had finally materialized. “It seems all the good work is left for me to complete," he quipped. Reflecting on former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s comment, Modi acknowledged that the Jammu–Baramulla rail project had been years in the making. "I saw Omar Abdullah’s statement—he said the project began when he was still in school. Today, we have fulfilled the dream of the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” he remarked. Announcing key developments, Modi highlighted the inauguration of the Chenab Bridge and Anji Bridge, alongside the launch of two new Vande Bharat trains and a new medical college in Jammu. "Development projects worth ₹46,000 crore will propel Jammu and Kashmir forward. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all of you on this new chapter of development," the Prime Minister declared. |
