| Bovine smuggling bid foiled by Doda police | | |

DODA, July 18: Continuing its efforts against bovine smuggling, Doda Police has rescued 04 bovine from the clutches of smuggler in Khellani area falling under the jurisdiction of PS Doda. Official sources has said that on a credible information, naka was established by the Police party of PP Khellani led by IC PP Khellani. During naka checking, vehicle bearing registration No. JK06 4155 which was comming from Doda side, stopped for checking. During the checking of Vehicle 04 bovine found loaded mercilessly, tide with ropes and without arrangement of food and water. Driver of the vehicle disclosed his name as Aqib Gulzar S/O Khushi mohd R/O Pul Doda and he was transporting these animal towards Kashmir without any valid permission. In this connection Cognizance has been taken and case FIR No.172/2025 U/S 223 BNS, 11 PC Act registered at PS Doda and investigation of the case is going on.
