DGP Prabhat reviews Bhadarwah security | | | Early Times Report
Doda, July 17: Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat conducted a comprehensive security review during his visit to Bhadarwah, with a focus on law and order, counter-terrorism efforts, and administrative preparedness in the twin districts of Doda and Kishtwar., a police spokesman said in a statement. On his arrival, the DGP was warmly received by DIG DKR Range, Shridhar Patil, along with SSP Doda, SSP Kishtwar, and senior officials from the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and the Indian Army, the statement said, adding that a high-level meeting was convened to assess the deployment arrangements for ongoing religious Yatras and to review the progress of anti-terror operations in the region. The DGP appreciated the efforts of the civil and police administration in ensuring the peaceful conduct of Yatras so far and stressed the importance of maintaining high levels of vigilance, it said. Emphasizing the need to strengthen the intelligence network and operational efficiency, DGP Prabhat called for focused action against terrorist groups operating from the upper reaches of the region. He also directed the dismantling of the support structures aiding anti-national elements (ANEs), with particular attention on overground workers. The welfare of police personnel and improving coordination between all security agencies remained a key theme of the review. The DGP reiterated that the success of operations and peacekeeping measures in the region hinges on seamless inter-agency collaboration and sustained pressure on terror networks. The visit underscored the J&K Police’s commitment to eliminating the remaining terror threat and ensuring the safety and stability of the region. |
