Early Times Report SRINAGAR, July 18: The Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir, Atal Dulloo, will inaugurate the renovation and repairing work of the ancient Vicharnag temple, also known as 'Vichar Sahab', tomorrow at 10:30 am. The temple, located near SKIMS Soura, is a revered site featuring a stone-carved structure with a sacred Shivlinga. The renovation project, allocated ?4.91 crore, aims to restore the temple's former glory and preserve its cultural and architectural heritage. This initiative is part of the government's efforts to protect and renovate temples and Hindu shrines in Kashmir. The Vicharnag temple holds significant historical, cultural, and religious importance, reflecting Kashmir's diverse cultural society. The renovation work is expected to revive and preserve the temple's aesthetic, heritage, and social values. The public, particularly the Pandit community, is invited to participate in the event and seek blessings from Shri Vichar Sahab.
