Police observes “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas on birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel across Jammu

Jammu, Oct 30: In connection with the celebration of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, Jammu and Kashmir Police organized a series of programmes across different districts of the Jammu Zone on 30th October 2025 under the theme “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas – Unity and Integrity.” The week-long celebrations aimed to commemorate the vision, leadership, and monumental contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in uniting the nation and promoting harmony, discipline, and patriotism among citizens.
Programmes Organized Across Jammu Zone
A wide range of events including awareness programmes on the Achievements and Life of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Drug Abuse and Its Effects on Society, Awareness on New Criminal Laws, and National Integration were organized at educational institutions and public venues with enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, and community members. Reasi Police organized a seminar on “Public Awareness on National Security and Law & Order” at Government Girls High School, Pouni, where students, teachers, and police officers actively participated and shared their views on the significance of law, order, and national security. The event aimed to educate students about the importance of unity, peace, and discipline in ensuring the safety and stability of the nation. Tributes were also paid to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s vision of a united India, reminding everyone that national integration and public cooperation are the strongest pillars of peace and development. All participants were motivated to remain alert, responsible, and contribute positively to society. On the eve of the 150th Birth Anniversary of the Iron Man of India, Udhampur Police organized an awareness programme on “Drug Abuse and Its Effect on Society” at Government Higher Secondary School, Tikri. The event aimed to promote a healthy, drug-free society. Police officials urged students to stay away from drugs, spread awareness among peers and families, and uphold the values of harmony, equality, and national unity as envisioned by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
