Probe uncovers Dr Muzammil’s secret hideouts near Al Falah University
Red Fort Blast

Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 29: Fresh revelations in the Delhi blast case and the “white-collar” terror module busted in Faridabad indicate that key accused Dr. Muzammil Ganaie had two additional hideouts near Al-Falah University, where he worked until his arrest earlier this month.
According to investigation reports, Muzammil—one of the prime suspects linked to the November 10 blast in the national capital—had rented multiple accommodations across Faridabad. In addition to the hideouts in Fatehpur Taga and Dhauj, he had taken a house on rent in Khori Jamalpur village from former sarpanch Jumma Khan, claiming he wanted space to start a Kashmiri fruit business. He had also occupied a small room built on farmland belonging to a local cultivator.
The rented house, comprising three bedrooms, a hall, and a kitchen, is located around 4 km from Al-Falah University, where Muzammil was employed before being detained by the Jammu and Kashmir Police. He reportedly stayed in the accommodation—built above a raw material factory—from April to July, paying a monthly rent of ₹8,000.
Recently, a team from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) brought Muzammil to the village for on-site verification as part of the probe. During their visit, NIA officials interrogated landlord Jumma Khan for several hours.
Sources said Khan told investigators that Muzammil approached him at Al-Falah Hospital, where Khan’s nephew was undergoing cancer treatment. “He said he wanted to start a Kashmiri fruit business and needed space. After about three months, he vacated the house, saying it was too hot. I had no idea he was a terrorist,” Khan reportedly said.
Further investigation has revealed that Muzammil stored a large quantity of explosive material—believed to be kept for nearly 12 days—in a room on the farmer’s land before shifting it to another room in the house of cleric Ishtiyak in Fatehpur Taga.
Security agencies uncovered the “white-collar terror module” in Faridabad earlier this month, seizing 2,900 kg of explosives and arresting three doctors, including Muzammil. Hours after the arrests, a slow-moving Hyundai i20 driven by Dr. Umar exploded near the Red Fort area, killing at least 15 people.
