DC inaugurates Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme Udhampur project

UDHAMPUR, Mar 12: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Minga Sherpa today inaugurated the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS-ED) Udhampur project, marking a significant step towards strengthening the power distribution infrastructure in the district.
While briefing media persons, the DC informed that a centralized operation team is working from last year on a comprehensive plan aimed at reducing losses in the power sector. As part of this initiative, several works are being undertaken across the district to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the electricity distribution system.
The DC stated that the project includes the installation of additional transformers, replacement of old and damaged cables and the substitution of outdated wooden and cement poles with modern infrastructure.
The initiative will also focus on upgrading distribution equipment to ensure smoother and more efficient power transmission.
Highlighting the project timeline, the DC said that the district administration is committed to completing the works within the stipulated time frame.
