UDHAMPUR, June 10: In a significant gesture reflecting devotion, public service and community engagement, Shri Shiv Kumar Sharma-IPS, DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range flagged off the 'Annual Mindal Mata Yatra' organized by 'Shree Sarvshakti Chandi Mata Mandir' from Kyun Gran, Aghar Jitto, District Reasi to Mindal.
The flag off ceremony was attended by Prem Singh, ADC Udhampur, Pankaj Sudan, DySP Traffic Udhampur, Sh Prehlad Sharma, DySP HQ Udhampur, SHO PS Udhampur along with other officers and officials from the civil administration and police in presence of Yatra management committee.
Speaking on the occasion, the DIG conveyed best wishes to the pilgrims undertaking the sacred journey and emphasized the importance of preserving the rich cultural and spiritual heritage associated with such religious events. He urged the devotees to adhere to safety guidelines, maintain discipline throughout the pilgrimage and cooperate with the authorities to ensure a smooth and hassle free yatra.
The DIG also appreciated the coordinated efforts of the Police, Civil Administration and other stakeholder departments in making necessary arrangements for the convenience and safety of the pilgrims.
A large number of devotees participated in the flag-off ceremony and expressed gratitude to the administration and police for their support and facilitation of the pilgrimage. |
