JAMMU, Sept 12: The 8 J&K Girls Battalion NCC, Jammu, conducted its Unit-Level Selection Trials for RDC-2027 at PSPS Government College for Women, Gandhinagar, Jammu, on 11th and 12th September 2026. The two-day selection process witnessed enthusiastic participation from Junior Wing and Senior Wing cadets along with ANOs representing various schools and colleges under the battalion.
The trials were a true "test of mettle", providing the aspiring cadets an opportunity to showcase their discipline, confidence, talent, physical fitness, drill proficiency and cultural skills. With all hands on deck, the officers, GCIs, PI Staff and ESMs of the battalion worked tirelessly and left no stone unturned to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the selection process.
The trials commenced on 11th September under the guidance of Col Amarjot Kaur, Commanding Officer, 8 J&K Girls Bn NCC, and Maj Praveen, Administrative Officer, 8 J&K Girls Bn NCC. Their leadership and meticulous supervision infused the entire process with purpose, professionalism and the true NCC spirit of "Unity and Discipline."
The cadets participated with remarkable enthusiasm and determination.Their dedication, perseverance and competitive spirit transformed the selection trials into a vibrant display of youth power, discipline and patriotism.
The selection trials culminated on 12th September 2026, marking the completion of an intensive two-day exercise aimed at identifying and grooming the finest talent for the journey towards RDC-2027.
The successful conduct of the programme was made possible through the wholehearted support and cooperation extended by Dr. Kulvinder Kour, Principal, PSPS Government College for Women, Gandhinagar, who provided the requisite logistical support and demonstrated a positive and encouraging outlook towards NCC activities.
The arrangements and coordination at the college level were efficiently managed by the Associate NCC Officers , Lt. Suman Bala and Lt Rukhsana Kouser whose proactive involvement and dedicated efforts ensured success of the programme. |
