Allotment of Govt land and reconstruction of badly damaged schools in Zone Malhar

JAMMU, Sept 15: Today called on chief education officer Kathua and submitted a memorandum regarding government schools in zone Malhar which have been badly damaged due to landslides and urgently require suitable government land allotted for the reconstruction: Govt. High School Moar building has been totally damaged and all classes are presently being conducted in a temporary shed under highly unsuitable conditions. Govt. Primary school Dhar building was damaged, and the school has temporarily been shifted to Dabbi, suitable government land is reportedly available at Dhar Lohai which need to be allotted for construction of a new school building. Govt. Primary School Karkhana building has also been badly damaged due to landslide. Suitable and safe government land near the roadside, preferably within about two kilometres, may need to be identified and allotted by revenue department for reconstruction of school. These are urgent demands concerning the education and future of poor children belonging to remote and inaccessible areas. Chief Education officer Kathua assured that needful would be done on priority by requesting revenue department authorities and PWD department. Other issues regarding the different schemes school were also discussed, Earlier a memorandum was also submitted to honourable education minister Skina Itoo ji through worthy Deputy Commissioner Kathua regarding sanction of teaching staff in all 184 high schools upgraded under RAMSA in 2013-14, sanction of Master Grade posts in all UPS upgraded in 2004 to 2009 under SSA and now nearly 2000 UPS without mastergrade posts and totally under staff.
