Early Times Report
NEW DELHI, Sept 15: In a major step towards enhancing passenger convenience and providing modern, technology-enabled amenities, Northern Railway's Delhi Division has introduced the Digital Locker facility at four major railway stations: New Delhi (NDLS), Hazrat Nizamuddin (NZM), Delhi Junction (DLI) and Anand Vihar Terminal (ANVT).
Launched as part of a new commercial initiative, this service gives passengers a safe, hassle-free way to store their luggage temporarily. The lockers use a digital/OTP-based access system, allowing passengers to deposit and retrieve their belongings securely without carrying heavy luggage during their waiting period or visits outside the station.
The facility is particularly useful for tourists, passengers with long waiting periods between trains and those travelling with heavy luggage.
How to Use the Digital Locker
Drop-off:
Start n Enter Mobile Number n Verify OTP n Select Locker Size & Duration n Make Digital Payment n Place Luggage & Close Locker.
Pick-up

Payments can be made through convenient digital modes such as Google Pay, Paytm, PhonePe and other available options.
The Digital Lockers are being provided at suitable locations with due consideration to passenger convenience, accessibility, security and optimum utilization of available space.
The introduction of Digital Locker facilities at New Delhi, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Delhi Junction and Anand Vihar Terminal is another significant initiative of Delhi Division towards providing modern, secure, technology-enabled and passenger-friendly services, further enhancing the overall travel experience for railway passengers.
Lockers of various sizes-Mini, Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large-have been provided at all 4 railway stations to meet passenger's requirements. Passengers can select the locker size according to the size of their luggage. Digital locker facility has been made operational at New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin railway stations, while the facility at Anand Vihar Terminal and Delhi Junction will be made operational shortly.
The Digital Locker facility will be available to passengers at both stations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
