Jammu, Sept 23: Two Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel were found dead under mysterious circumstances inside a car in the scenic Sanasar area of Ramban district on Tuesday night, triggering an investigation into the cause of their deaths.
The deceased have been identified as Head Constable Farid Ahmed, a resident of Bhatti Ramban, and Selection Grade Constable Mohammad Yaqoob, from Jatgali Ramban — both posted at the Ramban District Police Lines and related to each other.
According to officials, the two were first spotted lying unconscious inside a car parked on the roadside in Sanasar around 8:30 pm. They were rushed to the district hospital in Ramban, where doctors declared them brought dead.
The circumstances surrounding their deaths remain unclear, including how the two men ended up in Sanasar and what led to their deaths. A post-mortem examination was conducted on Wednesday morning, and police have registered an FIR to investigate the case further.
Authorities have not yet ruled out any angle, and further details are awaited as the probe continues. |
