Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 29: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Crime Branch Jammu has filed a chargesheet before the Court of Sub Judge Jammu against the two accused involved in multi lakh job scam.
The Crime Branch had registered the case against Peerzada Abdul Hamid R/o Damhal, Anantnag and Muneer Hussain R/o Sangyote, Mendhar, Poonch in FIR No. 43/2019 U/S 420 and 120-B RPC registered in Police Station Crime Branch Jammu for their alleged involvement in a fraudulent job syndicate.
The case was registered on the directions of the Hon’ble Court following a complaint by Muneer Hussain against Peerzada Abdul Hamid alleging job fraud. The investigation led by Inspector Meenu Sharma revealed that Muneer Hussain, who initially posed as the complainant allegedly worked in collusion with Peerzada Abdul Hamid to lure victims, collect money and later file a false complaint to evade liability. Both accused conspired to defraud unemployed youths of approximately Rs. 25 lakh by promising government jobs. Witness statements and documentary evidence established their alleged involvement, following which the chargesheet was submitted before the Hon’ble Court of Sub Judge Jammu against Peerzada Abdul Hamid and Muneer Hussain for judicial proceedings.
SSP Crime Branch EOW Jammu advises general public to remain vigilant against such economic frauds and report any such incident to Crime Branch EOW Jammu (Crime Branch, J&K). Victims of economic frauds may also submit their complaints via email at [email protected] or contact on telephone No. 0191-2578901.
