Rapido operating without license in J&K

Srinagar, May 10: Jammu and Kashmir Transport Commissioner Vishesh Mahajan on Sunday stated that bike taxi service “Rapido” is operating in the Union Territory without a valid license and warned that those using or participating in the service are doing so at their own risk.
In a post on X, Mahajan said that his office has received several complaints regarding the operation of Rapido in Jammu and Kashmir. He clarified that the company has not been granted permission to operate in the UT.
“Any body participating in the service or using it is doing at his/her own risk,” he stated, adding that directions have been issued to officers concerned to initiate action against the “illegal service.
