Police attach drug peddler’s house

SRINAGAR, May 18: Police on Monday attached a residential house worth Rs 1.10 crore and belonging to an alleged drug peddler in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The attached property comprises a double-storeyed residential house belonging to notorious drug peddler Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Nowshara in the Srigufwara area.
“Continuing its sustained crackdown against the drug menace and the illegal assets generated through narcotics trafficking, police in Anantnag attached an immovable property worth approximately Rs 1.10 crore under the provisions of Section 68(F) of the NDPS Act,” a police spokesman said.
