Jammu, June 23: The judicial fraternity at Jammu on Tuesday expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of Smt. Shakti Devi, revered mother of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjeev Kumar, Acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, and Smt. Ranjana Kumari Koul, Junior Assistant posted in the Court of CBI Cases, Jammu. A condolence meeting was held at 1 pm in the Conference Hall of District Court Complex, Jammu, under the banner of the Office of the Principal District & Sessions Judge, Jammu, to pay homage to the departed souls. The meeting was attended by learned Judicial Officers and staff members posted at District Headquarters Jammu. As per the condolence resolution, Smt. Shakti Devi left for heavenly abode on 20.06.2026, while Smt. Ranjana Kumari Koul passed away on 16.06.2026. During the meeting, the officers and staff observed one-minute silence and prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls. They also prayed to Almighty to give strength and courage to the bereaved families in this hour of immense grief. The condolence resolution was issued by the Chief Administrative Officer, Principal District & Sessions Court, Jammu. |
