| Nitin Nabin gives BJP cadre mission: Form next government in J&K | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 7: Emphasising that Jammu and Kashmir remains central to the Bharatiya Janata Party’s ideology and political agenda, BJP National President Nitin Nabin on Tuesday exhorted the party leadership to intensify efforts to form the next government in the Union Territory. Addressing the BJP’s State Core Group meeting during his two-day visit to Jammu, Nabin called upon party leaders to devise a comprehensive strategy to strengthen the organisation and prepare for forming a BJP government in Jammu and Kashmir. The BJP National President held extensive deliberations with Members of Parliament, MLAs, former legislators, former District Development Council (DDC) members and other senior leaders on expanding the party’s public outreach and further strengthening its grassroots network across the Union Territory. Nabin concluded his maiden two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir as the BJP National President on Tuesday. His engagements began at Keshav Bhavan, where he held detailed discussions with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) functionaries on organisational and ideological matters. He later chaired a meeting of sitting MLAs, former legislators, DDC members and local panchayat representatives, during which he issued directions to intensify the party’s grassroots expansion. Subsequently, he presided over the State Core Group meeting at the BJP headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, where the party’s political roadmap and organisational strategy for Jammu and Kashmir were discussed in detail. According to party sources, the Core Group meeting lasted for over two hours, during which Nabin reviewed the party’s organisational structure, electoral preparedness and public outreach programmes. He also issued fresh directions to strengthen the BJP’s connect with the people and expand its presence across all regions of the Union Territory. Party workers and elected representatives were instructed to personally reach out to every beneficiary of the Central Government’s flagship welfare schemes and educate them about the benefits they have received under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Later, Nabin participated in a ‘Yuva Samwad’, where he interacted with young party workers and urged them to actively engage with the youth and effectively communicate the BJP’s vision and developmental agenda. During the discussions, Nabin reiterated that Jammu and Kashmir occupies a pivotal place in the BJP’s ideological vision and stressed that the party must work with renewed commitment and organisational strength to form the next government in the Union Territory. | | |
