Safe, smooth, sacred: Amarnath Yatris laud Shrine Board, security forces

Jammu, July 11: Pilgrims undertaking the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 have expressed immense satisfaction over the elaborate arrangements made by the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board (SASB) and the Jammu and Kashmir administration, describing this year’s pilgrimage as one of the safest, smoothest, and most comfortable in recent years.
Yatris from different parts of the country praised the improved infrastructure, well-maintained base camps, clean surroundings, quality food served at community kitchens (langars), medical facilities, and round-the-clock support provided by the administration and volunteers.
Many devotees also expressed gratitude to the Army, Central Armed Police Forces, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and other security agencies for ensuring a peaceful and secure pilgrimage. They said the strong security arrangements enabled them to undertake the yatra and offer prayers at the holy cave shrine without any fear.
“We performed darshan without any fear. The security personnel have been extremely supportive and vigilant throughout the journey,” several pilgrims said while thanking the security forces for their dedication.
Shanker Pandit, a pilgrim from Maharashtra, lauded the authorities for making excellent arrangements for devotees.
“The facilities provided this year are outstanding. From accommodation and sanitation to medical assistance and security, everything has been managed efficiently. We are grateful to the Shrine Board and the administration,” he said.
Akash Thakur from Hoshiarpur in Punjab, who is undertaking the pilgrimage for the sixth time, said the facilities have improved remarkably with every passing year.
“I have been visiting the holy cave shrine regularly, and I can confidently say that every year the arrangements become better. The routes are well managed, security is excellent, and pilgrims are looked after very well,” he said.

Kumar, echoed similar sentiments, saying the administration has ensured a hassle-free pilgrimage.
“The arrangements are excellent, and the hospitality extended to the pilgrims is commendable. We feel safe and comfortable throughout the journey,” he said.
Narendra, a first-time pilgrim from Jodhpur in Rajasthan, described the experience as spiritually uplifting and beyond his expectations.
“I had heard a lot about the Amarnath Yatra, but experiencing it personally has been unforgettable. The facilities and security arrangements are exceptional,” he said.
Rajinder Choudhary from Nagaur district of Rajasthan, who has been undertaking the pilgrimage regularly since 2017, said the improvements in infrastructure and services are clearly visible.
“Every year I find better facilities than before. The management has become more organised, making the pilgrimage much easier for devotees,” he said.
Another devotee, Dinesh Chopra from Rajasthan, also appreciated the efforts of the Shrine Board and the administration in ensuring a smooth pilgrimage.
Pilgrims particularly appreciated the well-equipped base camps established by the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board, saying they provide comfortable accommodation, medical aid, sanitation facilities, drinking water, and other essential services under one roof. They also praised the langars for serving hygienic and nutritious meals free of cost and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
The devotees collectively thanked the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board, the Jammu and Kashmir administration, volunteers, and security forces for making the annual pilgrimage safe, peaceful, and spiritually enriching.
With robust security arrangements, improved infrastructure, and coordinated efforts by multiple agencies, the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra continues to draw praise from pilgrims, many of whom described the sacred journey as a memorable blend of devotion, safety, and efficient management.
