Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 4: In a high drama at the Srinagar Municipal Corporation, its Deputy Mayor, Parvaiz Ahmed Qadri on January 4 shot a formal letter to the Chief Secretary, Dr Arun Kumar Mehta making shocking claims that the “term” of SMC Commissioner has “expired” on December 31, 2022 and that he should be replaced forthwith. The Deputy Mayor said the “special term” of Commissioner was by virtue of “a special order” and that the same order of two year validity expired on December 31, 2022. In his letter to the Chief Secretary, a copy of which lies with the Early Times, Qadri said: “Esteemed Sir. Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 4: Three days after the gruesome Dangri massacre in which six unarmed civilians including two minors were killed in twin terror attacks, the Union Government deployed additional forces into the twin border districts of Poonch and Rajouri in Jammu and Kashmir.
